Atrium (atrium.run) is a TV ad buying platform for streaming, connected TV, and local broadcast: buy premium and local TV ads in a few minutes.

Yes, you can target streaming TV ads by ZIP code. On Atrium you narrow by ZIP code, upload your own customer list, or draw the service area on the map, so your budget goes to the households that matter.

How does ZIP code targeting work on TV?

Atrium resolves the household behind the TV screen. That means targeting works at the household level, not only by network or channel. You pick the networks, then pick the map: nationwide, a state, or the ZIP codes you serve.

The same campaign can use three kinds of location input:

  • ZIP codes: list the ZIP codes in your service area.
  • Your own customer list: upload it and reach those customers on TV.
  • The map: draw the service area directly.

You set the area in step three of the five-step flow on the platform: Set the goal, Pick the networks, Target the household, Make the spot, Run and report.

Which method should you use?

Method When it fits Example
ZIP code list Your service area follows neighborhoods A roofer covering a set of suburbs
Drawn service area Your area has an odd shape A clinic serving both sides of a river
Customer list You want to reach people you already know A retailer retargeting past buyers
State or nationwide You sell across a wide area An online brand with national demand

These can be combined. Third-party segments, your own customer list, and the map all work in one campaign.

Where does the TV air?

Targeting a ZIP code only helps if the inventory exists there. Atrium covers both kinds of supply.

  • Premium: national cable and broadcast, plus streaming and connected TV publishers such as Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock, Paramount+, and Hulu.
  • Local: broadcast and connected television in all 210 U.S. markets, through station groups including Tegna, Scripps, Nexstar, Gray, Hearst, and Sinclair, with ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX affiliates.

Every network shows its real available inventory, so you can see what is available before you commit. Read more on the supply page.

Can you add audience targeting on top of location?

Yes. Location is one layer, and you can add audience segments to it. Atrium offers 7,897 audience segments in 31 categories at household precision, and browsing costs $0. The audience page lists them.

Audience layers are priced by what you turn on. Typical CPMs run $18 to $28 depending on inventory and audience layers, and actual delivery varies.

What does a ZIP code campaign cost?

You pay a transparent CPM for the TV you air, and the platform is paid by the credit. The catch is that there is no catch: no contract, no minimum, no insertion order, and whatever you have not spent stays in your wallet.

Here is an illustration using the calculator's $22 average CPM. A $2,200 budget at $22 per thousand impressions buys 100,000 impressions. Your actual CPM will depend on the inventory and audience layers you choose.

Your wallet is charged for impressions that actually ran. You also get 8% cash back on every ad dollar, earned on delivered TV ads and paid monthly once it reaches $25. See pricing.

How do you know the ads worked?

You can hold households back so you can prove the ads worked. Compare the households that saw the spot with those that did not.

Then watch the ads air, with impressions, spend, and eCPM as the campaign runs. Atrium Intelligence ties results to their source. Every booking, sale and lead is tied to the campaign that earned it, and leads, calls, and form fills are counted, not modeled.

Can you change the area after launch?

Yes. While the campaign is still running you can move the budget, add ZIP codes, or swap the spot. You can also pause it, and delivery stops at the network the moment you press it.

If you need a spot, Creative Studio builds it where you buy the air time, at 15 or 30 seconds, finished for broadcast.
